If you are a frequent online shopper, then Amazon is probably the first place you check in order to get the best prices on the products you desire. But even though the massive online retailer is the place to get a good deal, sometimes consumer’s aren’t really saving that much money.
However, there are a few tricks to learn that can help make sure that you are in fact getting the lowest prices as possible.
Here’s how you can save money while shopping on Amazon.
Become A Prime Member
A membership to Amazon Prime costs $99 a month, or $10 a month. Unless you are a student who is offered the membership for $49 a year, it makes better sense to just splurge a bit and get that annual subscription if you shop on Amazon often.
You might be wondering why spending money is even an option on this list, but here us out. Often, you might think you find a product for the lowest price only to find that it increased $20 after the added shipping fee.
While not every item is offered with free two-day shipping with Prime, most things you purchase on the site will have this option.
And along with free two-day shipping, you will get all the other Amazon perks like access to Prime Video.
Honey is a free browser extension that will compare Amazon sellers’ prices for you. The add-on informs the consumer that there is a cheaper option available that is being sold by another seller and how much they can save on said item. It does so automatically so all you have to do is search for and click on an item and Honey will display an orange box next to the price on the listing. Click on the arrow to add the lower priced one to your cart.
It only brings up top-rated Amazon sellers so you won’t have to worry about trusting someone who is offering a seriously low price.
Subscribe And Save
The Subscribe And Save program works by giving the consumer up to 15% off plus free shipping on select items. Of course this means you have to schedule to order more of said items in order to get them at the cheaper price. However, this is perfect for saving money on items like diapers (via Amazon Family for 20% off), toilet paper, dog food and detergent.
You set how often you want a delivery and can cancel each subscription at any time.
Know The Deal Of The Day
Amazon has new deals every day. Check them out by clicking on Today’s Deals located underneath the search bar. Here you will find the Deal of the Day and Lightning Deals that are available for a limited amount of time such as only for two hours.
On the left sidebar, look for Deal Type to also find pages for Savings & Sales and Coupons.
