Google Celebrates May The Fourth With Star Wars Sale In Play Store

Google is making sure that the Fourth is really with all its Android users.

In celebration of Star Wars Day (held on May 4 each year), Google Play announced on Thursday
that is it currently offering discounts on lots of Star Wars content.

As part of the “May the Fourth” sale running from May 4 through May 11, Android users can get their hands on titles like Star Wars: Force Arena, Star Wars Pinball 5 and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes for free.


Other games and apps like Star Wars: Puzzle Droids and Star Wars: Force Collection are available for up to 50% off.

Besides games, there is plenty of other Star Wars content ready to download, include many of the movies, as well as comics book and the soundtracks—with many titles also on sale.

Star Wars: The Digital Six Film Collection is currently on sale for $79.99, down from $119.99, whereas installments like Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back is only $14.99.

According to Google Play, the top 5 Star Wars movies include: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

The newer movies The Force Awakens and Rogue One can be streamed for $14.99 each (Rogue One can be rented for $4.99).

Popular books and comics on Google Play include Aftermath: Star Wars, The Force Awakens (Star Wars) and Star Wars: Darth Vader Vo. 1 – Vader, with the latter available on sale for $4.99 (originally $19.99).
